11 January 2011 - It is with regret that I announce that according to the February 2010 report to Congress by the Director, Warfare Integration, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations both the USS Simon Lake (AS 33) and USS McKee (AS 41) have been designated for dismantling. That is all that I am aware of now but if I hear any updated informationn I will post it here at the USS McKee AS-41 website 06 January 2010 - I have seen several comments about image file sizes not being large enough for your pictures. Please read this update about uploading your pictures and their sizess. |

Worked in 64-A, carpenters shop and R-1 division supply petty officer. I'm gettin ready to retire when I get my house paid off, In a year or so and then move to southeren Indiana along the Ohio River on the eastern side somewhere. I worked for GM before going in the Navy and started back a few years later after gettin out. I'm at 33 years seniorty now. My last son is graduating this June then it will be my wife, our black lab Lexie, our yorkie, and 1 kat beans baxter.
